In 2011 Christina Julsgaard was selected to decorate one of the elephant sculptures for Elephant Parade Copenhagen 2011.

A large art and culture event, which was held during the summer of 2011.

More than 100 Danish handpicked artists each decorated an elephant sculpture which were later exhibited in the streets of Copenhagen.

Christina Julsgaards elephant was on display in front of Copenhagen City Hall.

After the show, which lasted 3 months, All the elephants were sold at the Bruun Rasmussen art auctions. Profits from the sale of the sculptures went to The Asian Elephant Foundation, which works for the Asian elephants survival.

MODERN PAINTINGS

Christina Julsgaard paints amazing modern paintings in the abstract form.

Modern paintings are often abstract, which is a term used to refer to nonfigurative art. Modern paintings are mostly void of a realistic motive, instead choosing to focus on the interaction between colours and creative shapes. This creates a dynamic where colours and shapes can express their own individuality and create a unique experience for the individual person. Modern paintings encourage you to use your senses creatively and in new ways - and the experience can be different each time.

These are some of the many reasons why modern paintings are so popular. It can be a difficult art form to master, but Christina Julsgaard does it perfectly.

Modern paintings in the abstract form are used to distract form the realities of life and instead let the observer immerse themselves in the painting in a unique way. Every observer sees something different that others might not. People are therefore affected very different emotionally, which makes modern paintings something entirely exceptional. Despite their lack of recognisable motives and meanings, feelings and interpretations still lie within the art form, which inspires the observer to think more abstractly and use their mind more creatively in order to imagine what could be.

Through her modern paintings, Christina Julsgaard creates a form of visual communication by means of colour pairings, form, lines and composition, which all exist on a visually distinct dimension without concrete references to the real world.

However, meanings can still be found in modern paintings, which Christina Julsgaard hopes is a positive contribution. Her paintings can be found in all colours and sizes, and it is therefore easy to find one that perfectly suits your individual taste and wishes.

Modern Paintings: Internationally
Christina Julsgaard’s modern paintings have not only been exhibited in Denmark, but among other places, in Shanghai, where companies and the press have shown great interest in her art. Modern paintings in their abstract visual form are popular worldwide, because what they have to offer is something unique. This is why modern paintings are often used to decorate offices in big companies, as art has a creative and positive effect on its onlookers.

Modern Paintings: Trends
In Denmark, societal trends have been a great benefactor to modern paintings. The abstract quality plays with your imagination in a unique fashion, and spreads life and joy in your home or office. Christina Julsgaard’s paintings possess a fantastic source of energy and that is why magazines continue to showcase her paintings in their interior decorating sections.
Modern paintings are the perfect finishing touch to the modern home, and in Christina Julsgaard’s collection you will almost always find something that suits your individual taste.
